The Role

We are looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Trade person to join our Turbines Overhaul workshop. You will be able to apply your hand skills and mechanical knowledge to the role and take pride in quality workmanship.

About the Job

This is an exciting role with lots of variety, working in a team focusing on the successful building, maintenance and repair of turbine engines. A busy role with plenty to get involved in including disassembly, visual and dimensional inspection, modifications, repairs, re-assembly and testing. We are open to experience from other mechanical industries with transferrable skills.  

 

  • Conduct routine maintenance (Repair/Overhaul/Testing) of company and customer Turbine Engines procedures to enable engines to be released back to service as airworthy.
  • Identify, document and resolve (as required) engine defects, to ensure when released to service they are safe, airworthy and in accordance with OEM requirements.
  • Document, process and maintain all engine maintenance documentation to ensure business processes are adhered to and an accurate audit trail is maintained
  • Maintain appropriate paperwork required to certify all work carried out and to ensure general business processes are completed

 

About You

You may have experience with aircraft turbines and be looking for the next role in your career or maybe you have worked with turbine engines in the automotive industry and are looking for a career change.  Ideally, we would like:

  • Experience/Ratings with LTS101 turbine engines and 3 years proven experience in a turbines/rotary position OR 5 plus years in a mechanical trades background (Automotive/Marine/Rail)
  • Good hand skills and ability to pick up new skills quickly
  • Excellent organisation and multitasking skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Outstanding timekeeping, attendance and communication skills
  • Efficient, well organised and takes pride in quality work
